Limen Vitalis operates this website and provides private emergency-medical education, training coordination, related customer support, and, when specifically offered, retail merchandise. This notice explains the information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you. It supplements the Shopify-generated Privacy Policy linked in the site footer.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact and identity information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, mailing or billing address, and preferred contact method.
- Organization and training-request information, such as company name, learner count, requested course or credential, proposed location, preferred dates, shift requirements, site constraints, and optional simulation goals.
- Course-administration information, such as participant names, attendance, course results, credential-processing information, expiration dates, and other records reasonably required by an issuing organization, Training Center, employer, or applicable recordkeeping requirement.
- Transaction information, such as products or services requested or purchased, invoices, deposits, refunds, and payment status. Payment-card information is processed by authorized payment providers; Limen Vitalis does not ask customers to send payment-card information through general email or a training-request form.
- Communications, including messages, inquiries, support requests, and information you choose to provide.
- Device and usage information, such as IP address, browser, device identifiers, cookie data, pages viewed, referral information, and interactions with this website.
- Limited accessibility or participation information when you voluntarily provide information reasonably necessary to discuss a requested accommodation. Please do not send medical records or more health information than is necessary for that purpose.
How we collect information
We collect information directly from you; automatically through Shopify, cookies, and similar technologies; from an organization arranging training for its personnel; and from service providers that help us operate the website, process forms, administer courses, communicate, process transactions, or provide related business functions.
How we use information
We may use information to:
- respond to inquiries and prepare training proposals;
- select, schedule, deliver, document, and improve training;
- administer recognized courses, attendance, course completion, continuing-education documentation, and applicable credentials;
- process transactions, deposits, refunds, and merchandise fulfillment;
- communicate operational, customer-service, and safety information;
- maintain records, prevent fraud, secure our systems, and enforce agreements;
- comply with legal, tax, insurance, contractual, and regulatory obligations; and
- send marketing communications when permitted, with an available method to unsubscribe.
How we disclose information
We may disclose relevant information to service providers and business partners that perform functions for us, including Shopify, Jotform, payment processors, email and communications providers, cloud-storage and administrative providers, professional advisers, insurers, and instructors assigned to an engagement.
For recognized courses, we may disclose information reasonably required for course administration to the applicable Training Center, issuing organization, credentialing platform, continuing-education provider, employer, or other organization involved in the requested credential. This may include Express Training Solutions, the American Heart Association, or the American College of Surgeons when applicable to the specific course.
We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, safety needs, fraud prevention, enforcement of our agreements, or a business transaction involving Limen Vitalis.
Cookies, analytics, and online tracking
Shopify and enabled website tools may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the store, remember preferences, measure website use, prevent fraud, and support marketing or analytics features. Third parties may collect information about activity over time and across websites when their tools are enabled.
Where required by applicable law, this website uses Shopify-supported privacy controls and recognizes applicable Global Privacy Control signals. Other browser “Do Not Track” signals may not receive a separate response because no uniform industry standard applies to those signals. Sale or sharing of personal information
Limen Vitalis does not sell personal information for money. Certain disclosures through advertising, analytics, or cross-context behavioral-advertising tools may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” under some state privacy laws even when no money is exchanged. Where applicable, you may use the Your Privacy Choices page or a recognized Global Privacy Control signal to opt out.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, administer courses and credentials, maintain tax and business records, meet contractual or legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect safety and security, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by record type and the requirements of applicable course providers or business systems.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information and our operations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Do not submit patient records, Social Security numbers, payment-card data, passwords, or unnecessary sensitive information through general inquiries or the training-request form.
Children and minors
This website is not directed to children under 13. Training may involve minors when arranged by a parent, guardian, school, employer, or other responsible organization. Online requests concerning a minor should be submitted by an authorized adult, and only information reasonably necessary for the training should be provided.
Your choices and rights
You may unsubscribe from promotional email through the link in the message. Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about certain disclosures, or to opt out of qualifying sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. These rights are not absolute and may be subject to verification and legal exceptions.
To make a privacy request, email LVMedicaltraining@outlook.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify the request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Third-party websites
This website links to third-party services, including course, credential, form, and payment platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. A link does not make Limen Vitalis responsible for a third party’s privacy or security practices.
